mermaids get reality but don't always like it

hesitation and human relations
interrupt my mermaid ways
I know I can't swim every day
in a pirate cove
or stay all night in a pirate lair
I am aware of pirate hands
on the small of my back
and of my desire for them to stay
or to move
but not to move away
