Grey

(words from my captain)

Skies are grey, birds have flown to return another day,
asphalt nourishes the ice which clings for its cold remains,
we seek another day with sunlight, yet we wait,
the boat is harboured, lashed to it to dock,
wind still brings the north wind, and tides brush the chilly shore,
drip, drip, drip, brings a foggy night,

but,

cheers are around the north side of the mossy tree,
clear skies are pushing from the south,
a bird's song is heard in the distance,
it brings a rose bud about to bloom,
cherish the day, for Spring is coming to us.
